Franco Ori

Written by Nerissa Staggers

You may find him on a street of his small town of Modena, Italy painting with strokes of vibrant color as the inspiration meets his imagination. Or you may find him at a concert, painting live where splatters of paint garnish his clothes, but are artfully placed on the canvas. Who is he? He is Italian artist, Franco Ori. His muse? Historical figures, celebrities and popular artists. As an art enthusiast and admirer of his work, my first painting was his Ray Charles piece. This piece currently adorns my dining room and is a conversation piece for everyone who sees it for the first time. Speaking to my very own aesthetic, Franco Ori captures raw emotion with a mix of abstract expression through every single portrait.
